  May 20th Gala Event Sponsorship

Honoring The Past, Engineering The Future

It is known that most family businesses do not stay in business beyond the third generation.  C. Cretors & Company is the exception.  Five generations of Cretors family members have contributed to the success of the business.  In an effort to celebrate not only our 125 years of business, but also our contribution to the concession industry, we are hosting a gala at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.  The museum is the last remaining structure from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition - the Fair that Charles Cretors debuted the world's first automated popcorn machine.

We have decided to celebrate 125 years with the many people and businesses who participate in the concession industry including celebrities!  The Gala will benefit our non-profit partner, the Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education (CAPE).  CAPE's partnerships serve as a living laboratory for a community of artists and teachers dedicated to infusing arts throughout the curriculum of Chicago's inner city schools. All proceeds from the Gala will be donated to CAPE so that they may continue to reinstate arts programs in the Chicago school system.

We graciously thank all of you for your generous donations.  We wouldn't be able to create such a meaningful event without your support.  Please contact Shelly Olesen (solesen@cretors.com) for more details.
